Media Representative for the Canadian Dance Assembly’s “I Love Dance / J’aime La Danse” campaign, a six-year campaign beginning 2011, and National Dance Week in April 2012.  The Canadian Dance Assembly www.cda-acd.ca is the national representation for the Canadian dance community. 
  • Pia attended the Canadian Dance Assembly’s Annual General Meeting in Toronto.
  • Pia pitched a TV series at the Vancouver International Film Festival www.viff.org/   
  • Pia interviews José Navas, Director of Compagnie Flak,  www.flak.org/jose-navas/en/about-2/jose-navas/ a Montreal based contemporary dance company.  As Resident Choreographer of Ballet BC, Mr. Navas infuses contemporary themes and styles to traditional ballet.  You’ll be surprised to hear his current inspiration.  Full article to be uploaded soon!    
  • The Vancouver International Flamenco Festival presents Canadian and international Flamenco artists, including the renowned Javier Barón, winner of Spain’s prestigious National Dance Award in 2008.  www.vancouverflamencofestival.org/
  • Pia interviews Rosario Ancer, Artistic Director of Flamenco Rosario, www.flamencorosario.org/  presenter of the 2011 Vancouver International Flamenco Festival.   Trained in Spain, residing in Vancouver, Ms. Ancer explains how contemporary influences shape this traditional art form and how her environment inspires her work.  Her latest, “Mis Hermanas”, won the 2009 Isadora Award for Excellence in Choreography.  Full article to be uploaded soon!
